Celebration and Acceptance

As an artist/photographer, a Jew and a Mom whose four-month-old granddaughter died suddenly July 27, 1998, I remember and celebrate the life she was given. I accept her loss. She gave joy to her parents, grandparents and sister. The installation represents the Jewish holidays she was alive for and the day she died.

The centerpiece is a photograph of grandmother and granddaughter. The other parts of the installation are layered works with the largest piece done in layers one can see through. The pieces are printed directly from the computer with the exception of the large piece, which was rephotographed and enlarged.
